Waterbabies Water Safety / Swimming DVD

Many parents assume they can't introduce their baby to water until they are at least six months old. In fact all babies have a natural affinity to water and can play and exercise in water safely and with confidence from birth. Waterbabies is a unique instructional DVD which shows you how.

Waterbabies was devised by Lauren Heston, who has been running the highly-successful Little Dippers program across Britain for 15 years. The beautifully filmed DVD was produced by the makers of BAFTA-Award winning BBC series The Human Body.

The video provides a series of carefully designed exercises aimed at developing safety skills, increasing fitness and having fun, it helps parents and carers teach basic water safety skills to babies from 6 weeks old.Through a series of innovative yet easy-to-follow exercises parents and babies will develop skills, techniques and a confidence that will make bath and swim time fun times for everyone. This also offers a unique and wonderful bonding experience between parent and baby.

Throughout the video, careful emphasis is placed on safety, revision and steady progression from one exercise to the next. Starting with simple and enjoyable exercises in the bath, the program takes you and your baby through a gradual development of skills until you and your baby can feel confident and safe in water.

The Waterbabies program will build up your baby's hearts, lungs and respiratory systems and by using a clear set of instruction and commands, you will improve your baby's understanding and mental alertness.
